August 6, 2022 – Power Outage – Update (08/09/2022)

UPDATE on Power Outage of August 06, 2022

As you are aware, Big Six Towers suffered a power outage on Saturday
night, August 6th. It was determined that the generator for the main
engine that supplies power to the entire coop failed. Thus, our main
engine is not currently running. This piece is being taken off the property
for servicing immediately (this week).

In the meantime, I am urging all residents to please do their part in
conserving as much energy as possible so that we don’t suffer another
complex wide power outage. The Community Room is available as a
cooling center for all residents.

In addition, in effort to conserve energy, starting at 7:00 P.M. today (8/9/22), we
are shutting down one elevator in each building (the B car that goes to
the basement). The laundry rooms will also close at 7:00 P.M. They will
remain closed until 8:00 A.M. tomorrow (8/10/22)

We ask that you please conserve energy through the current heat wave.
