Energy Conservation During Anticipated Heat Wave & Rental Generator Update
Dear Residents,
With an anticipated heat wave expected this week, we are asking all residents to help conserve electricity to reduce demand on our electrical system and help avoid a blackout.
Many of you may have noticed that our summer rental generator is not yet on site. Due to a very recent and unexpected issue with the generator that is typically secured for the summer, Management, the Power Plant, and the Board of Directors are working diligently to secure a replacement as quickly as possible. We will continue to keep everyone updated.
In the meantime, we ask everyone to do their part by conserving energy whenever possible, especially during the peak demand hours of 4PM to 11PM, including:
- Turn off air conditioners when you are not home, especially if you will be away for the upcoming holiday weekend.
- Turn off unnecessary lights, televisions, and electronics when not in use.
- Limit the use of high-energy appliances during peak evening hours whenever possible.
- If you have more than one air conditioner, use only the units needed to cool occupied rooms.
To further reduce electrical demand, all laundry rooms will be closed from 4PM to 11PM, beginning Wednesday, July 1, 2026, through Saturday, July 4, 2026. Please plan to complete your laundry outside of these hours. Regular laundry room hours will resume on Sunday, July 5, 2026.
By working together and conserving energy, we can help reduce the strain on our electrical system during this period of extreme heat. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Thank you,
BST – Management
