2023 Annual Meeting and Board Elections
Dear Shareholders:
Please consider becoming a candidate for the Board of Directors. This year there are three openings on the Board of Directors. This is your opportunity to participate and be involved in decisions that affect all of us.
If you want to be a candidate for the Board of Directors, please complete the enclosed Declaration of Candidacy Form, and place it in the lock box in the management office or email the same to Management@bigsixtowers.nyc no later than Monday, August 21st, 2023.
As a reminder, in order to become eligible to serve on the Board of Directors, each shareholder candidate must occupy a dwelling unit at Big Six as a primary residence. Only one shareholder that is named on the stock certificate allocated to a particular apartment may serve on the Board of Directors at one time. Finally, any shareholders that are in arrears equal to at least one month of maintenance as shown on the books and records of the corporation, at any time during the period of six months prior to the date of the annual meeting shall not be eligible to run or be elected as a director at such annual meeting.
You may also submit, but are not required to submit, a written statement about your candidacy. We will be holding an in person Meet the Candidates Night in the Community Room of Building 2 more details will be forthcoming about the times and dates. All candidates will also be invited to record a video that will be posted on the Big Six Towers website. The Public Safety Office will coordinate with the Management Office to set up the candidate recordings.
We hope to have the recordings of each candidate posted on the Big Six Website before Meet the Candidates Night takes place.
Official notice of our annual meeting will be distributed to shareholders in accordance with the timeline set forth in the Big Six By-Laws.
